Odisha Mo Ghara Yojana 2023

The program coincided with the end of Mr. Patnaik’s fifth term’s fourth year. It’s designed to help families who couldn’t access existing housing programs because they didn’t meet strict requirements or lacked enough funds. It’s also for those who previously got less housing help and now want to upgrade or expand their homes.

This housing program, funded entirely by the State, got the green light from the State Cabinet, led by Odisha’s CM. Loan applications will start being accepted on June 15, 2023. The “Mo Ghara” yojana was one of 18 ideas approved by the Odisha Cabinet, also led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was in charge of the Cabinet meeting where this decision was made. The Odisha State Government approved 18 proposals to establish Mo Ghara (Government Housing Assistance in Rural Areas), a new housing program, in anticipation of the 2024 elections.

This came a week after the Cabinet change that added three new ministers to Odisha’s Council of Ministers. The State Government will provide funds under the “Mo Ghara Yojana” in the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department to help lower and lower-middle-class rural households fulfill their housing aspirations.
